Our mission
diversity and Development in tennis
Accessibility and diversity
The Diversity Tennis School Zurich is open to all children, regardless of origin, gender, religion, ideology, disability or previous sporting knowledge. Our comprehensive range of courses aims to give all children equal opportunities in tennis and to inspire them to enjoy playing tennis at the Fronwald tennis facility in Zurich.
Focus on promoting development
Primary school age is considered a crucial phase for the development of motor and cognitive skills, which form an important basis for physical and mental well-being in later life. Our concept includes targeted exercises and methods to promote these skills, based on the findings of current studies. These prove the positive influence of regular exercise and targeted motor skills on children's school performance, the classroom atmosphere and their social-emotional skills.
Team spirit and individual development
Our philosophy sees tennis primarily as a team sport in which the focus is on playful development and not competition. This approach allows children to learn the basics of tennis in an environment of support and camaraderie. Only when the children are technically and emotionally able to face the challenges of an individual match are they gradually introduced to individual sports.
Participatory training design
The trainers at our school are guided by clearly defined, long-term training goals. An essential part of our training concept is the active involvement of children in the training process, whereby they develop autonomy and independence. By taking their interests and wishes into account, we not only promote the intrinsic motivation of each child, but also make learning tennis techniques easier. This inclusive and child-centered approach ensures that the training is not only effective but also a motivating and enriching experience for the children.
